I’m all for family photo sessions!

Family Films are unique in that a photo can’t capture the sounds of your 4-year old Spider-Man protecting your home from monsters, or the kicks, cries, and coos of your newborn daughter.

Family Films are meant to capture a moment in time that you can relive forever. And when they’re grown, that your kids can relive and share with their own.

This is a time capsule of glorious ordinary days.

First off, I will schedule a consultation call to talk about the day of filming. I’ll ask questions to get to know your family a little better beforehand and settle on a location. I’ll give you tips on how to approach your connection time, how to prepare your home, as well as what to wear.

On the filming day, I will come to your home (or other chosen location) and spend 2-3 hours with you. A few extra minutes will be slotted at the start to let your kids get used to having a camera following them around.

After filming, I will spend 2-3 weeks editing the footage to a hand-selected song. I will deliver your 3-4 minute Family Film along with 10 stills from the session.

It’s tempting to want to fill the session with things to do. But I find that a focus on activities takes away from experiencing who you are as a family.

In the end, what you will cherish the most are the moments of cuddling on the couch, of gazing into each others’ eyes, of the kids laughing at dad’s silly jokes.

A standard family film is $1200. This includes:

• Filming, editing, color grading

• A 4-5 minute edited film with licensed music

• USB with the film file and all raw footage
